Shockingly busy...

We decided to start observing a Sabbath rest from Fri night-Sat night each week. Of course, this comes just as we have to take two weekends to get our house ready and move...but tonight is our first. I'm not working...we're doing stuff together...it's nice. I looked forward to it all night.

It's been awhile since I could really post. Things are a little crazy here.

Thursday at 10:30, we'll sign a mountain of papers and take on a ton of debt. And we're excited about it!

Sometime around then, we should have our direct deposit of about $6000 by way of tax refund. Maybe there is something to having a baby every year...at least until, what is it, 6?

The following week, we'll be totally stressed out. Jacob is off and will be painting his booty off. I haven't gotten to decorate in awhile, so I'm going a little nuts. Hey, if you're gonna do something, get your husband to do it right.

As soon as the paint dries, we'll move in.

Then, it'll be spring, the time will change, Izzy will be walking and Nate will graduate from high school.

..my brain is working non-stop. I've decorated and re=decorated our house so many times..and I still have over a month before I can actually *do* any of it. I think I finally have my colors set, thanks to my mom's scrapbooking aide (we had a great time down there for 4 whole days and successfully surprised Ricky and Chyn!). Here is my tentative furniture layout:

LR- 2 couches and a papasan chair, TV mounted over fireplace, small entertainment cabinet in the corner, lots of shelves for pics and candles

Loft- cozy old white chair for reading, bookshelves lining the short wall (where the roof angles in), scrapbooking desk on the other side, sewing stuff in the floor under the window

boys room- ahhh...depends on how much of my dream stuff I can actually get ;)

guest room- our full bedroom set

bedroom- king size bed (someday) with "headboard" mounted to the wall, sewing desk-turned-computer desk angled in the corner, maybe a small couch or loveseat facing the bed (all of our clothes will be in the HUGE closet...woohoo!)

kitchen- not sure if I can fit an island in there or not...maybe a small one...rectangle black kitchen table OR an old 60s style chrome/color table (dreeaaammms...), window seat converted into a comfort corner for cooling down (cushions, pillows, maybe an mp3 player and Fuzzy's Panda Bear)

...is it feb. yet?...

It's been soo long! Ricky is using the computer during the day, and my computer time hs been limited to finding a house -> researching that house and loans -> finding things to put in that house. :)

Fuzzy is big. And he talks a lot. It's so fun listening to the new things he comes up with everyday. ("Chipmunks" is "ChickenMonk") He is really learning a lot. We can sit down with playdoh for 30-56 min at a time. He counts with me as we roll them up into balls and 'quish them back together. He is also sorting poker chips by color. Last night, he counted down to ni'nite all by himself (2..3..4..6..7..8..9..8..7..8..7..6..7..8..9..8..7..6..4...3..4..6..4..3..2..byebye nummies!), tho I think I might need to start counting *up* to ni'nite so he doesn't get confused.

Izzy is big. And he coos a lot. He adores his Uncle Ricky. This morning, nothing I did was right. Uncle Ricky picked him up and he was back to cooing and smiling. He likes rolling from tummy to back, especially when laying on daddy...Fuzzy liked that game, too) and can get his legs all the way over when rolling back to tummy. He is super strong, too. His favorite thing to do is stand, if you help him balance. I think his first tooth will make an appearance in the next month.

We signed the contract on our house today! We will be doing inspections and whatnot over the next two weeks (and I should have some more pics then). We will also finish packing what we aren't using before the end of the month, since I will be working some in January. Closing is mid-February, after which we will paint and move! I'm so excited to have central heat (among many other things!) instead of this furnace!!

So, that's a snapshot of us :) The newspaper story should be running soon..you know how things get bumped around. I'll post as soon as an official date is set.
